A Bills game from Toronto, chauffeured door to door

Highmark Stadium is the Buffalo Bills' new home in Orchard Park, New York, and for a lot of Toronto fans it is the closest NFL stadium by a long way. A Bills game from Toronto is a long day by car - the QEW, the Peace Bridge, the drive south through Buffalo, the parking lots, the game and the same thing in reverse - and the part that ruins it for most people is not the football but the driving. Booking a limo to a Buffalo Bills game, a black SUV or a Sprinter for the whole group means nobody has to stay sober for the drive home, nobody has to read the border wait boards, and nobody spends forty minutes in a lot waiting to get out. TorontoBlackCarService.net books the day by the hour from your door in Toronto or the GTA, crosses the border with you, waits through the game and brings everyone home.

The stadium is new. The Bills officially opened it with a ribbon-cutting on 23 June 2026, across the street from the old stadium it replaces, and the first regular-season game there was against the Detroit Lions on 17 September 2026, according to the Buffalo Bills. The team lists the capacity at 60,108. That means some of what you remember from the old stadium - lots, gates, walking routes - has changed, and this page is built from what the Bills publish now.

The drive: Toronto to Orchard Park

From Union Station the route runs west on the Gardiner, along the QEW past Oakville, Burlington, Hamilton and St. Catharines to Fort Erie, over the Peace Bridge into Buffalo, then south through the city on the Skyway (Route 5) or the Thruway and Route 219 to Orchard Park. It is about 176 km (109 miles) door to stadium and roughly 2 hours 15 minutes of driving with no traffic and no border queue. On a game day neither of those holds, which is why the plan below builds in time.

The Peace Bridge is the natural crossing for Orchard Park because it puts you on the south side of Buffalo with no detour. The Lewiston-Queenston Bridge, off Highway 405, is the alternative when the Peace Bridge is backed up, but it adds the length of Grand Island and the I-190 to the drive and only pays off when the Peace Bridge wait is very long. The chauffeur checks the CBP wait times before the QEW splits at Niagara and decides then. The Peace Bridge authority also publishes its own conditions.

Game-day timing and the border

The Bills publish a fixed game-day clock. Abbott Road closes to vehicles six hours before kickoff between Bills Drive and the NFTA Transportation Hub, parking lots open four hours before kickoff, security gates open three hours before, and ticket entries open two hours before, according to the Bills game-day page. Tailgating in the stadium lots ends at kickoff.

For a 1 pm Sunday kickoff, our usual plan is a pickup in Toronto around 7:30 am, which leaves room for the Sunday-morning southbound queue at the bridge, the slow approach roads into Orchard Park, and time in the lot before the gates. On a night game, shift everything later and add the return in the dark. Game days put thousands of Ontario fans on the same bridges in both directions, and the return into Canada after a game can be slow; the chauffeur reads the CBSA border wait times on the way back and picks the bridge with the shorter line.

To get from Toronto to Highmark Stadium for a Bills game, a chauffeur drives the QEW to the Peace Bridge and south to Orchard Park - about 176 km (109 miles) and 2 h 15 of driving before border time. Book it by the hour so the car waits through the game: an Executive Sedan for about 12 hours is $1,620-$1,920, before HST and gratuity.

Where the car parks: the Bus and Limo Lot

This is the part most fans do not know. All Highmark Stadium lots require a parking pass bought in advance, and the Bills say buses and limos need a permit for the Bus and Limo Lot bought in advance through the Buffalo Bills Ticket Office - a bus or limo that arrives on game day without one is not let in. Sprinter vans of any size are parked in the limo lot with an advance pass and are not allowed in the Blue, Bronze, Gold, Green, Grey, Orange, Platinum or White lots. Buses and limos cannot leave the lot until one hour after the game ends. All of this is on the Bills parking page.

What that means for your booking: tell the desk the game and the vehicle when you book, and we confirm the parking-permit arrangement with you before the day. Expect the car to be released about an hour after the final whistle, so the drive home starts then; it is a good hour for a meal on the Buffalo side or simply for the crowds on the bridge to thin. The Bills also run NFTA Game Day Express buses as their suggested alternative to rideshare, which tells you how hard a casual pickup is on game day.

Tailgating, alcohol and the rules in the car

The Bills allow tailgating in their lots until kickoff, with a 9 ft by 10 ft area per space, no glass, and grills raised at least six inches off the ground. In the Bus and Limo Lot there is no tailgating or loitering next to parked buses, and tailgating is allowed only for limousines with a capacity of 11 persons or fewer. Inside the stadium, alcoholic beverages you bring are prohibited.

Our own rule is simpler: nothing is opened or consumed on board, in any vehicle, on either side of the border. That applies to the Sprinter, the stretch limousine and the party bus alike. Sealed purchases travel in the trunk. It keeps the crossing uneventful - an officer looking into a vehicle full of open cans at the Peace Bridge is not the start to the day anyone wants.

The bag policy at Highmark Stadium

Pack for the gate before you leave Toronto, because the car is parked a long walk from the stadium and goes nowhere until after the game. The Bills gate entry page allows clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bags no bigger than 12 by 6 by 12 inches, or a one-gallon clear freezer bag, plus a small clutch about 4.5 by 6.5 inches. Umbrellas, strollers, selfie sticks, drones, bottles and thermoses are on the prohibited list. Anything else - coats you will not need, the cooler, the shopping - stays in the vehicle.

Which vehicle for a Bills game

Executive Sedan for one to three fans who want the simplest day. Business SUV (Yukon or Suburban) for up to six with coats and gear, and the better winter choice for a December game. First Class SUV (Escalade) for a client or a special occasion. Executive Sprinter for a group of up to twelve - the vehicle most Bills groups end up choosing, because one vehicle, one permit and one chauffeur moves everyone, and the per-seat cost falls well below a set of separate cars. Stretch SUV or party bus for a celebration group of up to fourteen: these are vetted partner vehicles, booked, invoiced and supported by us, and the no-alcohol-on-board rule applies to them too. The fleet page has photos and seat counts, and the group and Sprinter page and party bus page go deeper on the bigger vehicles.

Late-season games and the weather

A December or January game in Orchard Park is a different trip from a September one. Lake-effect snow off Lake Erie can close stretches of the Thruway and the roads south of Buffalo with little warning, and the QEW along the lake can be slow in squalls. Every vehicle runs winter tyres from November, the chauffeur watches the forecast and the road reports from the night before, and the desk will call you if a pickup should move earlier to stay ahead of a band of snow. The Business SUV and the Sprinter are the better choices for a winter game: more traction, more room for boots, blankets and the extra layers you will carry back to the car. If a storm makes the drive unsafe, we say so plainly; nobody is sent into a closure for a football game.

A Bills weekend instead of a day trip

For a late kickoff, a Monday or Thursday night game, or simply to avoid a twelve-hour day, some groups stay in Buffalo. That is two one-way flat fares - dropped on the way down, collected the next morning - quoted in the engine, and usually cheaper than an hourly car waiting overnight. The chauffeur can also stay over with you on request, with the arrangement set out on the confirmation.

What a Bills game day costs

A Bills day is booked by the hour from your door. With an early pickup, a wait through the game, the hour in the limo lot and the drive home, plan on about 12 hours. Engine quotes from 8 October 2026, before 13% HST and gratuity:

VehicleHourly rateAbout 12 hours
Executive Sedan$135-$160$1,620-$1,920
Business SUV (Yukon/Suburban)$175-$210$2,100-$2,520
First Class SUV (Escalade)$225-$270$2,700-$3,240
Executive Sprinter (12)$475-$570$5,700-$6,840
Stretch SUV (14, partner)$450-$540$5,400-$6,480
Party bus (14, partner)$550-$660$6,600-$7,920

For twelve fans in the Sprinter, $5,700-$6,840 works out to roughly $475-$570 a head before tax and tip - for a day with no driver, no parking hunt and no designated sober friend. A late game, a long overtime or a slow bridge adds time at the same hourly rate, billed to the next full hour. Tolls are shown at booking. The exact figure shows in the booker before you confirm; the rates page explains how hourly pricing works and the hourly chauffeur page covers minimums.

Border documents for game day

Every passenger needs a document the US accepts at a land crossing. For Canadian citizens 16 and over, US Customs and Border Protection accepts a valid passport or a trusted traveller card such as NEXUS (Ontario stopped issuing enhanced driver's licences in 2019, so for Torontonians it is a passport or NEXUS); children under 16 need only a birth certificate or other proof of citizenship. Permanent residents and other nationalities need their passport and whatever their status requires. A child travelling without both parents should carry a consent letter from the parent who is not there. The NEXUS lane is only an option if every single person in the vehicle holds a NEXUS card. Put every passenger's name and citizenship in the booking notes and the desk will flag anything that looks like a problem before the day, not at the booth.

The car leaves an hour after the game. The Bills hold buses, limos and Sprinters in the Bus and Limo Lot until one hour after the game ends. Plan the post-game hour - a walk, a bite, the highlights on a phone - and the drive home will start when the bridge queue has already eased.

FAQ

Highmark Stadium - Buffalo Bills: questions answered

How far is Highmark Stadium from Toronto?

About 176 km (109 miles) from Union Station by the QEW and the Peace Bridge, roughly 2 hours 15 minutes of driving before any border wait. On a game day plan for three hours or more each way, because the bridge and the approach roads into Orchard Park are busy.

Can I take a limo from Toronto to a Buffalo Bills game?

Yes. We book stretch limousines, stretch SUVs, party buses and Sprinters to Highmark Stadium by the hour. The Bills require a Bus and Limo Lot permit bought in advance through their ticket office, and Sprinters must park there too; tell the desk the game when you book and we confirm the permit arrangement with you.

How much is a car service from Toronto to a Bills game?

A typical game day is about 12 hours by the hour: Executive Sedan $1,620-$1,920, Business SUV $2,100-$2,520, Escalade $2,700-$3,240, Executive Sprinter $5,700-$6,840. These are engine quotes from 8 October 2026, before 13% HST and gratuity; the exact rate shows in the booker before you confirm.

Do I need a passport to go to a Bills game from Toronto?

Canadian citizens 16 and over need a passport or a NEXUS card at the land border, per CBP. Children under 16 can use a birth certificate or other proof of citizenship. Other passengers need whatever their nationality and status require.

What time should we leave Toronto for a 1 pm Bills kickoff?

Around 7:30 am is our usual plan. Lots open four hours before kickoff and gates three hours before, Abbott Road closes six hours before, and the southbound Peace Bridge queue on a game-day morning can be long.

Can we drink in the limo or Sprinter on the way to the game?

No. Nothing is opened or consumed on board any of our vehicles, partner vehicles included. Sealed purchases ride in the trunk. Tailgating rules in the lots are set by the Bills, and alcohol cannot be brought into the stadium.

What bags are allowed at Highmark Stadium?

Clear bags up to 12 by 6 by 12 inches or a one-gallon clear freezer bag, plus a small clutch about 4.5 by 6.5 inches, per the Bills. Everything else stays in the vehicle, which is parked until an hour after the game.

Why does the car only leave an hour after the game?

The Bills do not let buses or limos leave the Bus and Limo Lot until one hour after the game has concluded. We build that hour into the plan, and it usually means the bridge queue home has started to clear.

3-hour minimum

Sedans and SUVs book from three hours; Sprinters and coaches from five. After the minimum, time is billed by the hour.

The clock runs from your door

Hourly time starts at the pickup address, not at our garage. Garage travel, where it applies, is shown at booking in 30-minute blocks - never a surprise on the invoice.

Overtime rounds to the hour

Run past the reserved block and the extra time is billed to the next full hour at the same rate, with tax and gratuity as on the original booking.

Waiting is included

Hourly means the car waits. The meeting that runs long, the dinner that runs late, the second stop you did not plan - the chauffeur is outside, the clock simply continues.
