Accessible transportation in Toronto, booked like any chauffeured trip
A wheelchair accessible car service in Toronto should not mean a different, lesser kind of booking. It should mean the same chauffeured car, the same punctuality and the same quoted price in advance, with the vehicle and the help matched to the person travelling. TorontoBlackCarService.net provides accessible transportation in Toronto in two ways: a folding wheelchair, walker or other mobility aid in any class, carried in the trunk while the passenger transfers to a seat; and a wheelchair-accessible vehicle on request for a passenger who needs to travel seated in their own chair, arranged with the desk by phone, ideally 48 hours ahead.
This page explains which of the two fits, what to tell the desk, how it works for medical appointments and at the airports, and - honestly - when public paratransit or another service is the better choice. If you are searching for a wheelchair accessible limo in Toronto for a wedding or a gala, or a wheelchair taxi alternative for a regular trip, the same process applies. Book direct by calling (833) 931-6688 or WhatsApp +1 647-667-7689, 24/7, or start in the reservation engine on this page and the desk will call you back.

Two kinds of trip
You can transfer to a car seat. Many wheelchair users and most people with a walker, rollator or crutches travel by moving from the chair into the vehicle seat, with the folded chair in the trunk. This works in every class - Executive Sedan, Business SUV, First Class SUV, the Mercedes, the Sprinter - and is booked in the engine like any other trip. The SUVs have a higher seat that some people find easier to get into than a sedan, and others find harder; the Sprinter has a step and a grab handle. Tell the desk which you prefer.
You need to stay in your chair. A passenger who travels seated in a wheelchair needs a wheelchair-accessible vehicle with a ramp or lift and proper securement for the chair and the occupant. This is available on request and is not a button in the booker: call the desk, ideally 48 hours ahead, and the desk confirms the specific vehicle at booking - how the ramp or lift works, the door height, the securement system and whether your chair's size and weight fit it. We do not publish a single ramp or lift specification on this page because the right answer depends on your chair, and we would rather check it with you than promise it here.
What to tell the desk
The more the desk knows, the better the vehicle and the smoother the pickup. When you call, have these ready:
- The chair or aid. Manual or power, folding or rigid, and if you know them, its width, length and weight.
- The transfer. Whether you can transfer to a seat on your own, with a companion's help, or not at all.
- Who is travelling with you. A companion, a caregiver, a family member - and how many in total.
- Other equipment. A walker, a cane, a portable oxygen concentrator, a cooler of medication - anything that needs a place in the car.
- The doors at each end. Which entrance at the hospital, residence or venue is step-free, and where the car can stop.
- Timing. Appointment time, and if it is a return trip, whether the chauffeur waits or comes back.
Wheelchair accessible car service in Toronto with TorontoBlackCarService.net works two ways: folding wheelchairs and mobility aids ride in the trunk of any class while the passenger transfers to a seat, booked like any trip; and a wheelchair-accessible vehicle for a passenger who stays in their chair is available on request - call the desk, ideally 48 hours ahead, and it confirms the vehicle's ramp or lift and securement for your chair.
What the chauffeur does, and does not do
Chauffeurs are City of Toronto vehicle-for-hire licensed, Toronto-based and in a suit. They open and close doors, fold and stow a manual chair, load walkers and bags, position the car so the door opens onto a level surface, and walk alongside at a pace that is yours. They are not care attendants. If getting from the chair to the seat means someone has to take your weight, bring the person who usually helps you; a chauffeur lifting a passenger is a risk to both of you. If you are unsure which situation you are in, say so to the desk and we will talk it through.
Medical appointments
Regular treatment, specialist visits, day surgery, rehabilitation, dialysis schedules, a parent's check-up on University Avenue's hospital row - these are the trips most accessible bookings are for, and they are covered in detail on the medical appointments page. There are two ways to price them. A single transfer each way is a flat fare quoted by the engine for the addresses. An hourly booking, where the chauffeur waits through the appointment and drives you home, has a three-hour minimum for sedans and SUVs; at the engine's rates on 8 October 2026, before 13% HST and gratuity, three hours in an Executive Sedan is from $405-$480 and in a Business SUV from $525-$630. For an appointment that might run long, hourly avoids the anxiety of a return pickup time you cannot predict. The accessible vehicle is quoted by the desk when it confirms availability.
Pearson and Billy Bishop with a wheelchair
Toronto Pearson publishes its own wheelchair and mobility assistance information: accessible drop-off points on the Departures curbs of both terminals, and a request that passengers who need help ask their airline at least 48 hours before the flight. The chauffeur drops at the curb point that suits your terminal and stays until the airport's or airline's assistance has you. On arrival, with the flight tracked and meet and greet added, the chauffeur meets you and the airline escort and takes over from there. The free wait is 30 minutes after a domestic landing and 45 after an international one; for a passenger who is last off the plane by design, tell the desk and it plans around it.
Pearson to Union Station is 27 km and about 26 minutes; the engine's one-way quotes on 8 October 2026, before HST and gratuity, are from $140-$170 in an Executive Sedan and from $180-$215 in a Business SUV, with the exact rate in the booker before you confirm. The Pearson page and the Billy Bishop page cover the airports in full.
AODA, and what it means for a booking
Ontario's Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act sets accessibility standards in five areas: customer service, information and communications, transportation, employment, and the design of public spaces. For a passenger, the practical meaning is simple: you should be able to book, be understood and be served in a way that works for you. That is why the desk takes bookings by phone, by email at support@torontoblackcarservice.net and by live chat as well as through the engine; why you can book on behalf of someone else; and why we ask about the details above rather than guess. If any part of booking with us is harder than it should be for you, tell us.
When Wheel-Trans is the better choice
We would rather be honest than win a booking that should go elsewhere. Wheel-Trans is the TTC's paratransit service for people whose disability prevents them from using conventional transit for some or all of a trip. The TTC describes three eligibility categories - unconditional, conditional and temporary, the last for recovery from an injury or surgery - and you apply through the TTC. If you are eligible and the trip is routine - the weekly appointment, the daily commute - Wheel-Trans is a public service and will cost far less than a private chauffeured car. A chauffeured booking makes sense when you are not eligible or not yet registered, when you are visiting Toronto, when the trip leaves the city, when you need a set time and the same chauffeur, when a companion and luggage are coming too, or when the occasion simply deserves it.
A wheelchair taxi alternative
Accessible taxis and app rides exist in Toronto, and for a short trip on demand they can be the right call. The difference with a pre-booked chauffeured car is predictability: the vehicle is confirmed the day before, the price is quoted in advance rather than metered, the chauffeur arrives early rather than on an app's estimate, and an hourly booking waits for you instead of making you wait for the next car. For a family occasion, a hospital discharge, or a first trip home after surgery, that predictability is the service. The chauffeur versus rideshare page sets out the general comparison.
Hospital discharge and the first trip home
The ride home after surgery or a hospital stay is often the first time a patient travels with a new walker, a temporary wheelchair or a leg that will not bend, and it is rarely at a time anyone can predict - discharge happens when the paperwork is done. An hourly booking takes that uncertainty away: the chauffeur is at the hospital entrance you name, waits while the last forms are signed, and drives home at whatever pace is comfortable, with a stop at the pharmacy on the way. Tell the desk what the patient can and cannot do - sit upright, bend a knee, step up into an SUV - and it suggests the vehicle; a low sedan is sometimes easier than a high SUV after hip or knee surgery, and the reverse after back surgery. A family member can make the booking and be the contact on the day.
Accessible trips beyond appointments
Weddings, graduations, funerals, a gala at a downtown hotel, a day at Niagara Falls, a cottage weekend: the same two options apply, and the hourly booking keeps the car and the chauffeur with you all day. A family group with one wheelchair user can travel together in a Sprinter with the folded chair in the luggage bay, or split between an accessible vehicle and a second car that travels with it. The group Sprinter page covers larger parties and the hourly chauffeur page explains how a day is priced.

Booking an accessible ride
For a folding chair or walker in any class, book in the engine and put the chair and the transfer in the notes. For a passenger who travels in their chair, call the desk, ideally 48 hours ahead, and the desk confirms the vehicle, its ramp or lift and its securement for your chair before the booking is final. Cancellations run from the scheduled pickup: more than 72 hours, no charge; 72 hours or less, 10%; 48 hours or less, 50%; 24 hours or less or no-show, 100%. Corporate and care-home accounts can be invoiced monthly through corporate accounts.

Call for the chair, book for the aid. If the chair folds and you transfer to a seat, the engine is the quickest way to book. If you travel in your chair, pick up the phone: two minutes with the desk about the chair's size and the doors at each end is what makes the day go right.
Wheelchair-accessible car service: questions answered
Do you have a wheelchair accessible vehicle in Toronto?
Yes, on request. Call the desk, ideally 48 hours ahead, and it confirms a wheelchair-accessible vehicle with a ramp or lift and securement suited to your chair before the booking is final. It is not a booker option because the right vehicle depends on the chair.
Can I bring a folding wheelchair in a regular car?
Yes. A folding wheelchair, walker, rollator or crutches ride in the trunk of any class at no extra charge while you transfer to a seat. Put the chair and how you transfer in the notes when you book.
Will the chauffeur help me transfer from my wheelchair?
The chauffeur opens doors, positions the car on level ground, and folds and stows the chair. Chauffeurs are not care attendants and do not lift passengers; if your transfer needs someone to take your weight, bring the person who usually helps you.
Is there a wheelchair accessible limo in Toronto for a wedding?
For a wedding, gala or graduation the same two options apply: a passenger who transfers rides in any class with the chair in the trunk, and a passenger who stays in the chair rides in an accessible vehicle arranged with the desk, which can travel alongside the wedding cars.
How does an accessible ride work for medical appointments?
Book a flat-fare transfer each way, or an hourly booking where the chauffeur waits and drives you home. Hourly has a three-hour minimum for sedans and SUVs: from $405-$480 in a sedan and $525-$630 in a Business SUV, engine quotes before HST and gratuity.
Should I use Wheel-Trans instead?
If you are eligible and the trip is routine, Wheel-Trans is the TTC's public paratransit service and will cost far less. A chauffeured car suits visitors, people not registered, trips outside the city, set times with the same chauffeur, and occasions.
How do I get wheelchair help at Pearson?
Pearson asks passengers to request help from their airline at least 48 hours before the flight, and has accessible drop-off points on the Departures curbs of both terminals. The chauffeur drops at the right point and waits until the assistance has you.
Can a service animal or companion ride with me?
A companion or caregiver rides with you; tell the desk the total number travelling so the vehicle fits everyone. Tell the desk about a service animal too, so the right vehicle and space are arranged; pets need prior approval.
Four rules. No small print.
The hourly minimums are the ones printed in our terms; the rate for each class is quoted live by the reservation engine for your date. The rates page explains what moves it.

- 3hStretch Limousine, Economy Van
- 5hExecutive Sprinter, Stretch SUV, Coach, Limo/Party Bus
3-hour minimum
Sedans and SUVs book from three hours; Sprinters and coaches from five. After the minimum, time is billed by the hour.
The clock runs from your door
Hourly time starts at the pickup address, not at our garage. Garage travel, where it applies, is shown at booking in 30-minute blocks - never a surprise on the invoice.
Overtime rounds to the hour
Run past the reserved block and the extra time is billed to the next full hour at the same rate, with tax and gratuity as on the original booking.
Waiting is included
Hourly means the car waits. The meeting that runs long, the dinner that runs late, the second stop you did not plan - the chauffeur is outside, the clock simply continues.

LimousineWorldwide.Directory
Our listing in the worldwide directory is how a Toronto client who keeps a chauffeur by the hour here can do the same in Vancouver, London or Dubai through a vetted operator. Every Canadian city and every country on this site is served through that network.

LimousineAssociation.International
Membership commits us to the association's standards on licensing, commercial insurance, vehicle inspection and chauffeur conduct - the things a passenger cannot check from the back seat during a ten-hour day.

HotelsWorldwide.Directory
Our membership of the hotels directory links the car to the bed: concierges and hotel teams across the directory find a vetted Toronto chauffeur in one place, and our clients find the hotel at the far end of the drive - Yorkville, the airport strip, Niagara-on-the-Lake or Muskoka.

VacationsWorldwide.Directory
Membership of the vacations directory puts our day trips - Niagara, the wineries, Muskoka, Blue Mountain, Prince Edward County - in front of travellers planning the whole holiday, with the tours, resorts and activities around them listed alongside.
