Limo service in Toronto: the stretch, the S-Class and the word
In Toronto 'limo' means any chauffeured black car; the stretch is the one with the bar and the partition. This page covers both - and which to book for the wedding, the prom, the anniversary and the night out.
- Yours by the hour
- Flat hourly rate
- Toronto-based chauffeurs

Reserve a limo by the hour
Choose By the hour in the form for an hourly car (3-hour minimum for sedans and SUVs, 5 for Sprinters), or Route for a flat-rate transfer. The rate shows before you confirm. Trouble with the form? Call (833) 931-6688 (toll-free, 24/7) or message us on WhatsApp and we will book it with you.
The same hourly chauffeur in sixteen more cities
Toronto is home. Vancouver, Calgary, Montreal, Ottawa and the rest are served on the same booking through vetted network operators - one standard, one invoice.
The car that stays with you
The hourly chauffeur is the core; the same cars and the same flat rates cover the airport run, the corporate account, the wedding day and the long drive out of the city.
What Toronto means by 'limo'
Toronto says limo for any pre-booked black car with a professional driver - the airport limo, the corporate limo, the limo to dinner - and searches for limo service Toronto more than for any other phrase in the trade. Most of those searches want a sedan or an SUV at a flat fare, which is the black car on every page of this site. Some want the long one: the stretch limousine with the bar console, the fibre-optic ceiling and the partition, for the wedding, the prom, the fortieth, the bachelorette. This page covers both, says which is right for which night, and explains how each is priced by the hour.
The stretch limousine - a Lincoln or Cadillac stretch, eight passengers, three-hour minimum, prom and wedding minimums per your confirmation - is the occasion vehicle. The Mercedes S-Class, the Executive Sedan and the Luxury SUV are the limos for everything else, and the Executive Sprinter is the limo for a party of up to twelve. The fleet page has the detail; each class is 'or similar' per our terms.

When the stretch is the right car
When the arrival is the point. A wedding where the couple want the photograph of the door opening; a prom where six friends want to arrive together and be seen; a sweet sixteen; a bachelor or bachelorette night where the party is in the car as much as at the venue; a milestone birthday where the drive to dinner is part of the gift; a night out where the bar console and the champagne (for guests of legal age, in a vehicle licensed for it) are the evening's first act. The stretch is not the car for the airport, for a working day or for a day trip with luggage: the trunk is small because the cabin is long, and the wedding-day page explains when the S-Class is the better wedding car.
When the S-Class or the SUV is the right limo
For the anniversary dinner at Canoe and the drive along the lake after; for the client you are hosting; for the couple who want a black car in the photographs rather than a white stretch; for the evening at the opera; for anything where the car should be quiet and beautiful rather than long. The Luxury SUV for four to six to a game or a concert, and for a winter wedding with a gravel drive. The evening page and the sports and concerts page plan the nights.
How a limo is priced in Toronto
By the hour. Each class has an hourly rate for the date - a Saturday in June carries the peak-date layer the rates page explains - and a minimum: three hours for the stretch, the S-Class, the sedan and the SUV; five for the Sprinter. Prom and wedding minimums may vary and are stated on the confirmation. Overtime rounds to the next hour at the same rate. HST and the gratuity you set are shown at booking; tolls only if you choose the 407; parking only where a venue charges it. Stops and waiting are included, which for a limo night is the whole product: the car is outside the restaurant, the venue and the after-party, and the ride home at 1 am costs what the ride there did. The stretch is also available as a flat-fare Route for a single ceremony-to-reception transfer where that is all that is needed.
Limo service in Toronto is any chauffeured black car booked in advance - a sedan, an S-Class, an SUV or a Sprinter at a flat fare or a flat hourly rate - and, for occasions, the stretch limousine with its bar console and partition. Every class is priced by the hour with a three-hour minimum (five for the Sprinter; prom and wedding minimums per the confirmation), stops and waiting included, no surge.
Weddings
The stretch for the couple and the party from the getting-ready address to the ceremony, the photographs and the reception; the S-Class for the couple who want the modern car; Sprinters for the party and shuttles for the guests; the whole day on the clock with one dispatcher. The wedding-day page plans the running order, the venues from the Distillery to Casa Loma to the Niagara vineyards, and the plan B for rain. Book Saturdays from May to October months ahead; the stretch and the S-Class go first.
Proms and graduations
A group of six to eight in a stretch, or up to twelve in a Sprinter, from the pre-party house to the school and the after-party, with a chauffeur who does not open the bar console for anyone under nineteen, does not stop where the parents said not to, and texts the parents at each leg if asked. Prom minimums are per the terms and on the confirmation; May and June Saturdays are booked in March. Convocation at Convocation Hall, the Sony Centre or the Rogers Centre for the big universities is an S-Class or SUV day for the family with the graduate, and the evening page covers the dinner after.
Birthdays, anniversaries and the night out
The fortieth: a stretch for eight from Leaside to dinner on King West to a rooftop bar to home, five hours, the champagne in the console for the drive. The anniversary: the S-Class to Scaramouche or Canoe and a slow drive along the lake, four hours. The bachelorette: the Sprinter for twelve from a Yorkville hotel to dinner, a show and two bars, six hours, one vehicle, everyone home. The evening page has the venue exits - where the car waits when the theatre or the club lets out - and the limo-and-party-bus question is answered on the Sprinter page: for more than eight, the Sprinter is the better vehicle and a party bus is a different licence.
Alcohol, the bar console and the law
Alcohol may be consumed only in a vehicle licensed for it under Ontario's Liquor Licence and Control Act, by passengers of legal drinking age (nineteen in Ontario), with the partition closed; the stretch limousine's bar console exists for that. A sedan, an SUV and a Sprinter are motor vehicles under the Act and no alcohol may be open in them. The chauffeur enforces both without discussion, and a violation ends the booking under our terms. Ontario's impaired-driving penalties are the reason the limo exists at all: nobody in the party drives.
The stretch, in detail
Eight passengers on two facing bench seats, a bar console with glassware and ice, a fibre-optic ceiling, a privacy partition, a sound system with your phone connected, tinted glass, and a trunk that takes an overnight bag and not much more. Black or white as available; the desk says which. A ribbon and flowers for a wedding arranged with your florist. The stretch is a Lincoln or a Cadillac stretch 'or similar'; a stretch SUV limousine, where wanted, is a five-hour minimum per our terms. Vehicles pictured on any site are for advertising, as our terms say; the actual vehicle is of the class booked.
Corporate limo service
For a company, limo service means the black car account: sedans and S-Classes for airport runs and executive days, Sprinters for teams, on account with rates on file. The stretch appears on corporate bookings for the holiday party and the awards night, and the events page covers those.
Limo service across the GTA and out of the city
The same hourly rate from downtown to Vaughan, Mississauga, Markham, Oakville and Hamilton, where most of the GTA's banquet halls and wedding estates are; garage travel shown at booking where a 2 am finish is far from the yard. A limo night to Niagara - the casino, the Falls, a vineyard wedding - or Casino Rama is an hourly booking with the drive in the block, and the day-trip board gives the hours.

Booking a limo
Choose By the hour, the class, the start address, the date, the start time and the hours; put the occasion and the venues in the notes; confirm the rate. For a wedding or a prom, call the desk with the date first - the stretch and the S-Class are reserved months ahead for spring and summer Saturdays and a deposit per the terms holds the vehicle. For a night out, a week ahead for a Saturday; the same day is often possible for a sedan or SUV on a weekday.
Sixteen and nineteen: the ages that matter
A sweet sixteen or a prom group under nineteen travels in a stretch with the bar console locked and a chauffeur who is, in effect, a chaperone on wheels; parents can ask for a text at each leg and a route that avoids the after-party address they did not approve. A bachelorette of twenty-nine-year-olds travels with the console open and the partition closed. The chauffeur asks for identification when there is doubt, and Ontario's liquor inspectors do check limousines outside prom venues in June; the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario publishes the rules for licensed limousines.
The limo photograph
Every stretch booking for a wedding, a prom or a milestone includes the minute at the door for the photograph: the chauffeur positions the car where the light is, opens the door, and steps out of the frame or into it as asked. For a wedding, the desk asks which car the photographer wants at the ceremony and at the reception, and it is that car - clean that morning, ribboned as arranged.

The honest word on the stretch. It is the right car for perhaps one night in twenty that people book a limo for, and the wrong car for the other nineteen, where the S-Class or the SUV is quieter, more comfortable and photographs better. Ask the desk which; it will tell you, even when the stretch is the dearer booking.
Limo service Toronto: questions answered
What does 'limo service' mean in Toronto?
Any chauffeured black car booked in advance - most searches want a sedan or SUV at a flat fare. The stretch limousine with the bar console and partition is the occasion vehicle. Both are on this site and both are priced by the hour.
How much is a limo per hour in Toronto?
Each class has an hourly rate for the date, shown before you confirm, with a three-hour minimum for the stretch, S-Class, sedan and SUV and five for the Sprinter; prom and wedding minimums are per the confirmation. The rates page explains the number and what other Toronto operators publish.
Can we drink in the limo?
In the stretch limousine, yes - passengers of legal age, partition closed, as Ontario's liquor laws allow for licensed vehicles. Not in a sedan, SUV or Sprinter. The chauffeur enforces both.
Is the stretch the right car for a wedding?
For the arrival that is meant to be seen and the party in one car, yes. Many couples prefer the S-Class, which photographs beautifully and is the modern wedding car. The wedding-day page plans both.
What is the difference between a stretch and a party bus?
A party bus is a different vehicle under a different licence with a five-hour minimum; for more than eight passengers the Executive Sprinter is usually the better choice. The Sprinter page explains.
How far ahead should I book a limo for a prom?
May and June Saturdays are booked in March; the stretch goes first. A deposit per the terms holds the vehicle. Prom minimums are on the confirmation.
Do you do limo service to Niagara or Casino Rama?
Yes - as an hourly booking with the drive in the block, the car waiting at the casino, the Falls or the vineyard, and home at the same rate. The day-trip pages give the hours.
Can I book a limo for a single ride?
Yes - the stretch as a flat-fare Route for a ceremony-to-reception transfer, or a sedan or SUV as a flat-fare transfer to Pearson or across the city. For a night with several stops, by the hour is the better booking.
Four rules. No small print.
The hourly minimums are the ones printed in our terms; the rate for each class is quoted live by the reservation engine for your date. The rates page explains what moves it.

- 5hExecutive Sprinter, Stretch SUV, Coach, Limo/Party Bus
3-hour minimum
Sedans and SUVs book from three hours; Sprinters and coaches from five. After the minimum, time is billed by the hour.
The clock runs from your door
Hourly time starts at the pickup address, not at our garage. Garage travel, where it applies, is shown at booking in 30-minute blocks - never a surprise on the invoice.
Overtime rounds to the hour
Run past the reserved block and the extra time is billed to the next full hour at the same rate, with tax and gratuity as on the original booking.
Waiting is included
Hourly means the car waits. The meeting that runs long, the dinner that runs late, the second stop you did not plan - the chauffeur is outside, the clock simply continues.

LimousineWorldwide.Directory
Our listing in the worldwide directory is how a Toronto client who keeps a chauffeur by the hour here can do the same in Vancouver, London or Dubai through a vetted operator. Every Canadian city and every country on this site is served through that network.

LimousineAssociation.International
Membership commits us to the association's standards on licensing, commercial insurance, vehicle inspection and chauffeur conduct - the things a passenger cannot check from the back seat during a ten-hour day.

HotelsWorldwide.Directory
Our membership of the hotels directory links the car to the bed: concierges and hotel teams across the directory find a vetted Toronto chauffeur in one place, and our clients find the hotel at the far end of the drive - Yorkville, the airport strip, Niagara-on-the-Lake or Muskoka.

VacationsWorldwide.Directory
Membership of the vacations directory puts our day trips - Niagara, the wineries, Muskoka, Blue Mountain, Prince Edward County - in front of travellers planning the whole holiday, with the tours, resorts and activities around them listed alongside.
