The casino night, chauffeured
Casino Rama sits on the Chippewas of Rama First Nation on the shore of Lake Couchiching, a hundred and forty kilometres north of Toronto up the 400 and Highway 11 past Orillia, and it is two things to a Toronto car service: the largest casino floor in Ontario and its five-thousand-seat Entertainment Centre, which books the touring acts - comedians, classic-rock bands, country stars - that play Rama because the room is right. A casino night is the hourly product's natural evening: the car collects you at 4, the show is at 8, the tables after, and at 1 am the last thing anyone wants is the 400 in the dark. Six to eight hours for the evening, ten with dinner in Orillia and the lake first, and the evening page has the rules for every night that ends late.

The drive
The 400 north to Barrie and Highway 11 north past Orillia to Rama Road, then east to the casino: an hour and forty off-peak, two and a quarter on a Friday afternoon, and the same home at 1 am with the 400 empty and the chauffeur awake. No tolls. The 11 north of Barrie is a divided highway to Orillia and a two-lane road beyond, and in winter it is the stretch with the lake-effect snow; the SUV, the winter tyres and the dispatcher on Ontario 511. A 4 pm departure has you at the valet by 6 for dinner before an 8 pm show.
The casino and the Entertainment Centre
Rama's floor is slots and tables across a hundred thousand square feet, with the restaurants - the steakhouse, the buffet, the noodle bar - around it and the three-hundred-room hotel attached, and the Entertainment Centre's schedule is the reason most Toronto bookings are made: the Casino Rama site lists the season, the tickets go on sale months ahead for the big names, and a chauffeured car from Toronto with the tickets in hand and the show at 8 is the night. The chauffeur drops at the hotel's porte-cochère, waits at the valet or in the lot, and is at the door when the encore ends - Rama's lot empties onto a two-lane road and a car positioned before the last song saves forty minutes.
The evening, timed (book 8)
4:00 Forest Hill, the S-Class or the sedan, a couple. 5:45 the casino, the porte-cochère. 6:00 dinner at the steakhouse. 7:30 the floor. 8:00-10:15 the show. 10:30 the tables, an hour. 11:45 the car at the door; the 11 and the 400 home. 1:30 Forest Hill. Nine and a half hours; ten billed; the rates page explains that 1 am costs the same as 4 pm.
A chauffeured Casino Rama night from Toronto is 140 km up the 400 and Highway 11 - an hour and forty off-peak - booked as a six- to ten-hour hourly evening: dinner at the casino, the Entertainment Centre's show at 8, the tables after, and the car at the valet through all of it for the drive home at 1 am at the same rate as 4 pm. Sedan or S-Class for a couple; SUV for four to six; Sprinter for a group of up to twelve.
Orillia and the lake
Orillia is the town at the narrows between Lake Simcoe and Lake Couchiching, fifteen minutes south of the casino: the waterfront park and the marina, the Stephen Leacock Museum at his summer house on Old Brewery Bay, the Orillia Opera House's own concert series, Mariposa Market for lunch and the Mariposa Folk Festival in July at Tudhope Park, and the Trent-Severn Waterway's lock at Couchiching. A casino night that starts with the afternoon in Orillia - the Leacock house, the waterfront, dinner on Mississaga Street - is ten hours and the better day; a summer Sunday of the folk festival, the lake and a swim is a day of its own. The Barrie and Lake Simcoe page covers the lake's south end.
Groups: the bus that is not a bus
Rama runs its own coaches from Toronto, and the reason people book a chauffeured Sprinter instead is the same as for every group day on this site: twelve friends, one vehicle, the tickets in hand, dinner where you choose, the tables as long as you like, and home when the last person is ready rather than when the coach leaves. A birthday's twelve, the office's outing, the bachelor party's ten: the Sprinter page prices it per vehicle and no alcohol rides in it - the casino has bars.
Overnights
Rama's hotel and the Orillia inns: an overnight is a one-way flat fare each way, or the multi-day booking with the chauffeur staying for a weekend that includes Muskoka, forty minutes north, and the Blue Mountain side of Georgian Bay. The city-to-city page explains when the flat fares beat the overnight.
Responsible gambling and the responsible ride
Ontario's OLG and iGaming Ontario publish the PlaySmart resources that Rama's floor carries; a chauffeur is the responsible ride, not a judgement, and a client who wants the car to leave at 11 whatever the tables are doing can tell the chauffeur so at 6. It is the one instruction on a casino night that is followed without discussion.
The car
The Executive Sedan or Mercedes S-Class for a couple. The Luxury SUV for four to six and for the 11 in winter. The Executive Sprinter for seven to twelve, from five hours. The fleet page has capacities; the stretch limousine for the birthday that wants to arrive at the porte-cochère in it is the limo page's product.

Booking Rama
Choose By the hour, the class, your address, the date, a 4 pm start and eight hours; put the show time and the dinner reservation in the notes so the chauffeur's evening is planned around the encore. Book the big concert nights two weeks ahead - the Sprinters go first - and winter nights with a weather eye on the 11.
The Entertainment Centre, and the season
The five-thousand-seat room hosts a hundred-odd shows a year across country, classic rock, comedy, tribute acts, boxing and the occasional symphony, with the biggest names selling out months ahead; the tickets are the client's and the Casino Rama schedule is the desk's planning tool for the Sprinters, which are booked out on the big nights within days of the announcement. Doors at 7 for an 8 pm show; the porte-cochère at 7:15 is the chauffeur's target; dinner at 5:45 fits it.
Barrie on the way
The 400 passes Barrie at the hour mark, and a casino day that starts with lunch on Barrie's waterfront or a summer afternoon at Centennial Beach - the Barrie and Lake Simcoe page has both - is a ten-hour day that uses the drive well. Snow Valley and Horseshoe Valley for a ski morning before a winter show are the same idea with gear in the SUV.

The responsible instruction
Some clients set a budget and a leaving time before the night begins and tell the chauffeur the time; the car is at the porte-cochère at that time and the passenger, whatever the tables are doing, is reminded once and driven home. It is a small service the desk offers without comment and one that regulars use.
The car for the night, in detail
A couple to a concert is the Executive Sedan or, for an anniversary, the S-Class with the reclining seats for the drive home. Four to six friends is the Luxury SUV, which also handles Highway 11's lake-effect snow in a January show week. Seven to twelve is the Executive Sprinter, the birthday and office-outing vehicle, priced per vehicle so that twelve to a show costs less per head than the coach once dinner and the flexible finish are counted. The stretch limousine for a milestone birthday arrives at the porte-cochère as intended and books from three hours. Every vehicle has winter tyres from November.
What it costs
The class hourly rate for the date times the hours, plus HST and the gratuity you set; no tolls; Rama's valet is complimentary. The rates page explains the hourly number, and the honest comparison is with Rama's own coach: cheaper per seat, fixed departure, no dinner where you choose, and a night that ends when the coach says. The comparison page makes the general case; the casino night makes it for itself.
Groups: the organiser's note
One contact's phone gets the plate text, the porte-cochère time and the "leaving at" reminder; the organiser's job is twelve people at the door at the agreed minute; the chauffeur's is the rest. The Sprinter page has the checklist and the Rama tickets are collected at the box office with the organiser's confirmation.

The encore rule, again. Every venue page on this site has it and Rama's version is the plainest: the Entertainment Centre empties onto one two-lane road, and the car that is at the porte-cochère when the encore starts is on the 11 while the lot is still deciding which exit to use. The chauffeur knows the moment; the show's running time is on the confirmation.

Hourly time starts at the pickup address, not at our garage. Garage travel, where it applies, is shown at booking in 30-minute blocks - never a surprise on the invoice.
Overtime rounds to the hour
Run past the reserved block and the extra time is billed to the next full hour at the same rate, with tax and gratuity as on the original booking.
Waiting is included
Hourly means the car waits. The meeting that runs long, the dinner that runs late, the second stop you did not plan - the chauffeur is outside, the clock simply continues.

LimousineWorldwide.Directory
Our listing in the worldwide directory is how a Toronto client who keeps a chauffeur by the hour here can do the same in Vancouver, London or Dubai through a vetted operator. Every Canadian city and every country on this site is served through that network.

LimousineAssociation.International
Membership commits us to the association's standards on licensing, commercial insurance, vehicle inspection and chauffeur conduct - the things a passenger cannot check from the back seat during a ten-hour day.

HotelsWorldwide.Directory
Our membership of the hotels directory links the car to the bed: concierges and hotel teams across the directory find a vetted Toronto chauffeur in one place, and our clients find the hotel at the far end of the drive - Yorkville, the airport strip, Niagara-on-the-Lake or Muskoka.

VacationsWorldwide.Directory
Membership of the vacations directory puts our day trips - Niagara, the wineries, Muskoka, Blue Mountain, Prince Edward County - in front of travellers planning the whole holiday, with the tours, resorts and activities around them listed alongside.
