The same hourly chauffeur in sixteen more cities
Toronto is home. Vancouver, Calgary, Montreal, Ottawa and the rest are served on the same booking through vetted network operators - one standard, one invoice.
What a personal chauffeur arrangement is
A personal chauffeur, as this site offers it, is the same licensed chauffeur and the same black car on a standing weekly schedule for a household or an individual - Tuesday and Thursday mornings for the school run and the club, Friday afternoons for the airport, the first Monday of the month for the hospital, the cottage on summer Fridays - booked as a series of hourly blocks, invoiced monthly, and adjustable by text. It gives a family or a principal the continuity of an employed chauffeur without the salary, the payroll, the vehicle, the insurance, the vacation cover and the awkwardness of ending it.
It is the hourly product made routine. Each block has the class minimum - three hours for a sedan or SUV - and is billed as used at the hourly rate on the arrangement; the rest of the week the chauffeur works for other clients, which is why the arrangement costs a fraction of employment. The multi-day page covers a continuous run of days; this page covers the standing weekly pattern that lasts months or years.

Who has a personal chauffeur in Toronto
The household with a full diary. Two working parents, three children at three schools, a nanny who does not drive, a grandparent who visits; a chauffeur for the Tuesday-Thursday-Friday pattern that would otherwise be a second car and a second driver.
The principal who does not drive. A founder, a surgeon, a partner at a firm, an artist, a retiree - someone who works from the back seat or simply will not drive in Toronto and whose week has a shape: the office Monday to Thursday, the club on Wednesday, the airport on Friday.
The parent who has stopped driving. A mother or father in Forest Hill, Lawrence Park or Oakville who has given up the car and needs the hairdresser on Tuesday, the bridge club on Wednesday, the cardiologist monthly, the grandchildren's recitals and the synagogue or church on the weekend - with a chauffeur the family knows and trusts, and updates to a son or daughter's phone. The medical page covers the appointments.
The household with a cottage. Friday at 2 pm to Muskoka or the Kawarthas, Sunday at 4 pm home, every weekend from May to Thanksgiving, in the SUV with the dog and the groceries, on the 400 that the family would rather not drive.
The executive's family. A relocating executive whose company has booked the multi-day tour and whose partner and children need a chauffeur for the first two months while the family learns the city, the schools and where to buy things.
The public figure. An athlete, a broadcaster, a politician, a performer, for whom the same discreet driver every week is a security and privacy matter as much as a convenience.
How the arrangement is set up
A call to the desk. The household describes the weekly pattern - the days, the times, the addresses, the class, the people, the dog - and the desk proposes a schedule of hourly blocks and a chauffeur, or two chauffeurs where the pattern is wide. A confirmation sets out the standing blocks, the rate for the class on the arrangement, and how to change a block (by text to the chauffeur or the desk, by the evening before). The chauffeur meets the household, learns the school gate, the club's door, the pharmacy, the cottage road and the coffee order, and the arrangement runs. The monthly invoice lists each block by date and hours with HST itemised; the household pays by card on file or, for a family office, on account.
A personal chauffeur in Toronto is the same licensed chauffeur and black car on a standing weekly arrangement for a household - the school run, the club, appointments, the airport, the cottage - booked as hourly blocks (three-hour minimum for a sedan or SUV), adjustable by text, invoiced monthly, and costing a fraction of employing a driver because the chauffeur works for other clients the rest of the week.
Why not employ a chauffeur
Employing a chauffeur in Ontario means a salary, CPP and EI contributions, vacation and sick cover, a vehicle bought or leased, commercial insurance if the vehicle carries anyone but the family, maintenance, a place to park it, an employment contract, and the difficulty of ending the arrangement when circumstances change. A standing arrangement with a licensed operator provides the same person, the same car and the same continuity for the hours the household actually uses, with the operator carrying the vehicle, the insurance, the licensing, the cover when the chauffeur is ill and the end of the arrangement with a phone call. For a household using a chauffeur twelve to twenty hours a week the arithmetic is not close; above forty hours a week it becomes a conversation, and the desk will have it honestly.
The chauffeur, chosen for the household
A personal chauffeur is matched, not assigned. A household with young children gets a chauffeur who is good with children and has a clean record with the school boards' volunteer checks. An elderly parent gets a chauffeur who is patient at the door and will wait in a doctor's waiting room. A principal on calls gets a chauffeur who is silent. A household that speaks Cantonese, Farsi or Portuguese at home can have a chauffeur who does. Every chauffeur holds the City of Toronto vehicle-for-hire licence and a criminal record check; a household can ask for a vulnerable-sector check and a meeting before the arrangement begins. If the match is wrong, the desk changes it; that is the advantage over employment.
The car
Usually the Luxury SUV for a household - children, car seats fitted free and left in place for the arrangement, the dog, the groceries, the cottage bags, the winter - or the Executive Sedan or Mercedes S-Class for a principal. The same car for the arrangement where practical, so that the child seats, the umbrella and the booster stay in it; a different class for a particular day - the S-Class for the gala - booked as that day's block. The fleet page has the detail.
What it costs
Each block at the class hourly rate on the arrangement, with the class minimum, billed as used to the next hour, plus HST and a gratuity set once for the arrangement, on a monthly invoice. Garage travel is waived on standing arrangements because the chauffeur's week is built around the household's addresses. The rate for a standing arrangement of regular volume is negotiated once and applied automatically, and the rates page explains what the hourly number is made of. A household using three blocks of three hours a week is invoiced nine hours a week; one using the cottage run adds two blocks of three to four hours each summer weekend.
Changing the pattern
Life changes weekly. A block is moved or cancelled by text by the evening before; a block is added the same way, subject to the chauffeur's diary, and the desk offers a second chauffeur the household has met when the primary is booked. Holidays pause the arrangement; a term-time-only pattern is common. The arrangement ends with a phone call and a final invoice. Nothing is contracted beyond the month.
The household's other needs
The airport run for a visiting relative - the Pearson page - as a transfer on the same account. The evening out for the parents as an occasional block. The shopping day, the wedding in the family, the sightseeing day for guests. All on the same arrangement, the same chauffeur where possible, the same invoice.
Privacy
The household's addresses, routine and members are known to the chauffeur and the dispatcher and nobody else. Nothing is recorded beyond what the schedule needs. The chauffeur does not discuss the household, photograph the household or post about the household, and a breach ends the chauffeur's engagement with us. For a public figure the arrangement can be under a family-office name with a code for the principal.
A household's week, as an arrangement
Monday 7:30-10:30: the school run to two schools from Forest Hill and the principal to the office, SUV. Tuesday 13:00-16:00: the grandmother's hairdresser and bridge club from Lawrence Park, sedan, a different chauffeur the family has met. Wednesday 7:30-10:30: the school run again. Thursday 16:00-19:00: the children to swimming and piano, the SUV. Friday 14:00-18:00: the cottage run to Muskoka from May to October, the SUV, the dog; in winter, Friday 16:00-19:00 for the club. Sunday 15:00-19:00: the cottage run home in season. Sixteen to twenty hours a week in season, twelve out of it, on one monthly invoice, with the same two chauffeurs, and a phone number the household texts when the piano lesson moves.
The chauffeur's own view
A chauffeur on a standing arrangement will tell you it is the best work in the trade: the same faces, the routes learned, the children who wave, the grandmother who bakes. They stay on arrangements for years. That continuity is the product, and the desk protects it by matching carefully at the start and by never moving a chauffeur off a household for a more lucrative booking elsewhere.
Starting
A phone call to the desk with the household's week is enough. The proposal, the chauffeur's introduction block and the first month's invoice follow; the arrangement runs from there and changes when the household does. Nothing is signed beyond the monthly terms, and the desk's number is the only one the household needs.

Meeting the chauffeur first. For any standing arrangement the desk arranges a first block that is really an introduction - a school run with a parent along, an afternoon with the grandmother and a daughter, a drive with the principal - so that the household and the chauffeur decide together. It is the block that makes the next hundred easy.
Personal chauffeur Toronto: questions answered
What is a personal chauffeur arrangement?
The same licensed chauffeur and black car on a standing weekly schedule for a household - booked as hourly blocks with a three-hour minimum, adjustable by text, invoiced monthly - giving the continuity of an employed chauffeur without employing anyone.
How is it cheaper than employing a driver?
You pay for the hours the household uses, not a salary, a vehicle, insurance, payroll and cover. The chauffeur works for other clients the rest of the week and the operator carries the car, the licensing and the vehicle. Under about forty hours a week the arithmetic is not close.
Will it always be the same chauffeur?
Yes, wherever the diary allows, and the desk introduces a second chauffeur the household has met for the days the primary is booked or away. If the match is wrong, it is changed.
Can the chauffeur do the school run?
Yes. Chauffeurs matched to households with children hold the City vehicle-for-hire licence and a criminal record check; a vulnerable-sector check and a meeting can be arranged before the arrangement begins. Child seats are fitted and left in the car.
Can the arrangement include the cottage run?
Yes - Friday to Muskoka or the Kawarthas and Sunday home, every summer weekend, in the SUV with the dog and the groceries, as two blocks per weekend on the same arrangement.
How do I change or cancel a block?
By text to the chauffeur or the desk by the evening before. Blocks can be added subject to the diary. Holidays pause the arrangement; it ends with a phone call and a final invoice. Nothing is contracted beyond the month.
How is it invoiced?
Monthly, each block by date and hours at the arrangement's class rate, with HST itemised and a gratuity set once. Garage travel is waived on standing arrangements. Family offices can be invoiced on account.
Is it private?
Yes. The household's routine is known to the chauffeur and the dispatcher only; nothing is recorded beyond the schedule, nothing is discussed or photographed, and a breach ends the chauffeur's engagement. Public figures can be booked under a family-office name.
Four rules. No small print.
The hourly minimums are the ones printed in our terms; the rate for each class is quoted live by the reservation engine for your date. The rates page explains what moves it.

3-hour minimum
Sedans and SUVs book from three hours; Sprinters and coaches from five. After the minimum, time is billed by the hour.
The clock runs from your door
Hourly time starts at the pickup address, not at our garage. Garage travel, where it applies, is shown at booking in 30-minute blocks - never a surprise on the invoice.
Overtime rounds to the hour
Run past the reserved block and the extra time is billed to the next full hour at the same rate, with tax and gratuity as on the original booking.
Waiting is included
Hourly means the car waits. The meeting that runs long, the dinner that runs late, the second stop you did not plan - the chauffeur is outside, the clock simply continues.

LimousineWorldwide.Directory
Our listing in the worldwide directory is how a Toronto client who keeps a chauffeur by the hour here can do the same in Vancouver, London or Dubai through a vetted operator. Every Canadian city and every country on this site is served through that network.

LimousineAssociation.International
Membership commits us to the association's standards on licensing, commercial insurance, vehicle inspection and chauffeur conduct - the things a passenger cannot check from the back seat during a ten-hour day.

HotelsWorldwide.Directory
Our membership of the hotels directory links the car to the bed: concierges and hotel teams across the directory find a vetted Toronto chauffeur in one place, and our clients find the hotel at the far end of the drive - Yorkville, the airport strip, Niagara-on-the-Lake or Muskoka.

VacationsWorldwide.Directory
Membership of the vacations directory puts our day trips - Niagara, the wineries, Muskoka, Blue Mountain, Prince Edward County - in front of travellers planning the whole holiday, with the tours, resorts and activities around them listed alongside.
